We’re available for all kinds of business and social events. We specialize in multi-day conferences and we have worked with large corporate seminars, training meetings, local association get-togethers, wedding receptions, anniversary parties, family reunions… just about any social event you can think of.

Of course! Contact our office to schedule a time for a personal tour at your convenience.

The Newberry Firehouse is available to host events on a first-come, first-served basis. Contact our business office at (803) 276-1800 or check the calendar for available dates.

Yes. To allow for greater convenience, we have an online payment space through the City of Newberry website that you can reach by clicking the Online Payment link at the top of this page. When reserving the Newberry Firehouse, you’ll be given an Event ID Number that you’ll need in order to make payments, so be sure to write that number down and have it on-hand.

Included in your rental fee with the Newberry Firehouse is the personal service and supervision our staff will provide during your event to help with any needs that may arise. It will also include the tables/chairs, the setup, use of the audio/visual and general cleanup.

Additional charges for other needs are included in our policy agreement and will be discussed during the reservation process.

Events that run later than midnight are charged at an additional rate, as are catering services, related items, and linens for the event.

All fees after the designated due dates are non-refundable, except for a “refundable” damage deposit.

You’re free to use only part of the Firehouse for smaller events, but the rental fee still includes access to and full use of the facility.

Absolutely! While we have a list of approved caterers already familiar with our facility on-hand, you’re free to work with your preferred catering company. All potential caterers are required to follow our guidelines in our Food Servers Agreement.

Yes. You can chose not to cater full meals and opt instead for snack service, beverage service, or both. Prices can be found in our schedule of additional charges and amenities, included in our policy guidelines.

Wedding-related events most often require advance decoration and setup that is not required for other functions. The 12-hour rental period allows for caterers, wedding planners and florists to enter the building early enough to set up and generally allows enough time for the actual event to take place, time for guests to leave, and for cleanup.

The Firehouse was originally constructed in the 1890s and remodeled into an Art Deco style in the 1930s. You can learn more about the history of the Newberry Firehouse here.

Unfortunately, no. While the old fire trucks used to park in what is now the lobby, the red doors were sealed during construction and no longer open.

We’re not saying Old Joe is buried outside the firehouse, but we’re not saying he isn’t buried there, either.

Of course! Just give us a call at (803) 276-1800 or contact us online. We’d be happy to answer any questions you may have and help you get started with your reservation today!
